Operations Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift | 3pm - 11pm PST)

About this Role Operations Maintenance Technician responsible for executing preventive and reactive maintenance activities to support reliable, safe, and compliant operation of manufacturing equipment. Job Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing and support equipment, including manual fixtures, PCBA test equipment, automation equipment, label printers, and other operational assets. Respond to day‑to‑day equipment issues and line‑down events by troubleshooting, repairing, or escalating to ensure safe and efficient operations. Inspect equipment for wear or abnormal operation and take corrective actions to reduce downtime. Support equipment change parts, adjustments, setup verification, and functional checks. Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and assist with corrective actions to improve reliability. Follow approved procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements in production areas. Document maintenance activities accurately in CMMS, maintenance logs, or work orders. Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials needed for timely preventive and corrective activities. Assist with compliance, FDA Quality Management System Regulation, ISO13485, and internal requirements. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Facilities teams to coordinate maintenance with minimal disruption. Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending solutions and standardizing practices. Follow all relevant EHS requirements, including lockout/tagout, PPE, and electrical safety. Participate in required training and maintain qualifications for maintenance tasks in a regulated environment. Qualifications Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience in maintenance, electromechanical systems, or industrial technology. 3+ years of maintenance experience supporting manufacturing or automation equipment. Experience in a regulated medical device, FDA, or ISO environment is preferred. Experience with maintenance work orders, logs, or CMMS systems. Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, basic mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, manuals, and schematics. Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and prioritization skills. Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and controlled documentation. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry into electronic systems. Work Environment On‑site manufacturing floor. Requires regular presence; may involve shift work, overtime, or weekend support. Location and Compensation Location: Orange County, California. Estimated pay range: $23.78 – $29.72 per hour.
