New England projects can involve varying roadways, bridges, intersections, and trail designs, focusing on complete street projects. As an employee-owned company, we work together as a team with a common goal to succeed.What You'll Be Doing: Create plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects for public agencies and municipalities in ConnecticutDevelop plans from conceptual design to final contract documents, including 3-D modeling, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, grading, drainage design, and utility relocationsUtilize construction understanding to develop temporary traffic control and construction staging plansWhat You Bring to the Table: BS in Civil EngineeringPE in CT is requiredProficiency using Autodesk Civil 3D softwareExperience with public agency clients, particularly CTDOTRequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final considerationPossess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job siteRead, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English languageBasic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team membersAble to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working GPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
