Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license, or eligibility to obtain one in Michigan
• Experience working with pediatric populations or within school settings is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to develop individualized treatment plans
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptable, patient, and reliable, with a dedication to fostering student growth
• Open to onsite work and able to travel to the school location as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ motor needs within the academic environment
• Develop and implement therapy interventions tailored to help students achieve their educational goals
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to design strategies that improve classroom accessibility and participation
• Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services, proactively problem-solving to address student and staff concerns
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in school-based physical therapy
