You will work in a fast-paced, creative environment to design robust architectures while providing the technical direction necessary to ensure strict compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This is your opportunity to mentor others and directly impact the performance and success of next-generation flight-deck technology.Primary Responsibilities:Capture, develop andmaintainsystem and subsystemrequirementsDevelop product architectures for systems, hardware, and software to meet performance and safety requirementsProduce andmaintainprojectartifactsrelated toplanning, requirements, design,validationandverification Help manage, write and review ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 certification artifactsReview designsartifacts(documents,schematics, code, drawings, etc.)againstupper-levelrequirementsMaintain configuration management of the requirements in a controlled environment using DOORSLead the design activities in collaboration with the other functions (engineering, test, quality) Primary point of contact for technical discussions with both customers and suppliers Participate in or conduct risk assessments and contingency plansEffectively communicatetechnical concepts and innovative design ideasParticipate in hardware and software test planning and executionKeep up to date knowledge of international airworthinessregulationsand new product certification initiativesProactively identify and execute process improvements related to product design and development processPreferredEducationBachelor's Degree inSystems Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science,Mathor other aerospace engineering discipline PreferredExperience7-10years of engineering experienceProven experience in full life cycle design of systems for aerospace orany other highly regulated industry PreferredSpecialized Skills and Abilities Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis onaircraftinstallations and operations,human-systems interface design,aircraftdigital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modernaircraftsystem architectureExperienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verificationWorking knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, includingFARsand Regulatory Guidance, assurancestandardsand methods: DO-160, DO-254,DO-178 and/orARP 4754Certification experience to industry processesSTC, TC, and TSOSkilled inrequirements management, and experience withDOORSModel BasedDesignexperienceis a plusExperience with Jira, ADO, or other program management tools is a plus.Experience and knowledge of cyber security protocols like DO-326 is a plus.
