Senior Project Manager, Water/Wastewater, Houston, TX | The Woodlands | Austin, TX Halff has a position open for a Senior Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to join our water/wastewater utilities team as Senior Project Manager in our Houston, The Woodlands or Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 3 years of project management experience in water/wastewater large diameter pipeline design. What you will do: This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects for the Water/Wastewater practice. This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. Support preparation of scopes of work and budgets. Conduct studies, prepare reports, and read/develop construction plans and specifications. Manage and work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and subconsultants. Coordinate project deliverables, manage project budgets and schedule, and identify resolution of issues. Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations, Halff requirements, and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice. Support construction administration of projects and lead or assist permitting efforts. Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff. This position shall value and be active in professional organizations that benefit the Water/Wastewater Industry. Develop a network of municipal clients and teaming partners. Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborate with clients and stakeholders. Manage other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EITSs, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas. Report on project progress and budgets. Work with the Water/Wastewater Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities. What you will need: Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree (preferably in civil or environmental engineering). At least 3 years of project management experience in water/wastewater large diameter pipeline design. At least 10 years of experience as a Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer (PE) designing large diameter pipeline. Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Texas. Water/wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations and water storage experience desirable, but not required. Must be proficient with conducting studies, preparing reports, and reading/developing construction plans and specifications. Previous experience in coordinating project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedule, and identifying resolution of issues.
