Overview A Nurse Practitioner certified under section6910 of the NewYork State Education Law provides primary health care in accordance with policies and the Collaborative Practice Agreement. Position Details Office: Outpatient Cardiology & Stress Lab Full Time: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Job Number: 0286 / ICIMS#11207 Responsibilities Provide age‑appropriate care and intervention for patients, including assessments and treatment plans. Assist with patient assessments and support services. Develop and periodically review collaborative practice agreements. Assess health status via comprehensive history and physical examinations. Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including lab orders and medication adjustments per collaborative agreement. Deliver teaching and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and medication management. Document findings and plans in the patient medical record. Consult with physicians as established in the collaborative agreement. Initiate referrals, admissions, and discharges in collaboration with physicians. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrate professionalism and accountability in nursing practice. Advocate for patients and support patient rights. Serve as a resource for nurses and team members. Participate in peer review, research studies, and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to maintaining a positive image of professional nursing and the organization. Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary committees influencing nursing practice policies. Maintain departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Perform duties according to the collaborative physician agreement with endorsement by senior leadership. Keep current knowledge via self‑directed learning and educational programs. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current NYS licensure and registration. Valid DEA number. Preferred Experience managing TAVR patients. National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Knowledge of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac assist devices. Experience in program development. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in cardiology, heart failure, or structural heart programs. Compensation USD$151,740.55 per year.
