Registered Nurse PreOp

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Pre-Op/Short Stay Registered Nurses to join a 13-bed unit providing surgical and diagnostic care. The role involves delivering safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on preoperative and phase II recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and bedside equipment including EKGs and glucometers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Assist with procedures such as general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, and cath lab interventions.
• Float to Pre-Op, Phase 2, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with 1+ years of experience in Pre-Op or Phase 2 settings.
• Proficient in Meditech Magic electronic records system.
• Ability to perform IV placements and manage bedside monitoring equipment.
• Flexible to work rotating weekdays, weekends, and call shifts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible, motivated attitude.
• Certified in BLS.
