Project Controls SpecialistLocation: Albuquerque, NM Job Type: Long-Term ContractWe are seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in Albuquerque, NM. This position will support electrical Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects, including transmission lines, substations, and distribution systems.The ideal candidate will have extensive Primavera P6 scheduling experience and the ability to manage a large volume of project schedules in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with project stakeholders, lead schedule meetings, identify potential impacts, and provide accurate project reporting.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.Support multiple electrical T&D projects, including transmission line, substation, and distribution projects.Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedule logic, critical paths, milestones, and resource-loaded schedules.Coordinate with Project Managers, engineering, procurement, construction, and other stakeholders to obtain schedule updates and project information.Lead schedule review and project planning meetings.Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule risks, delays, and potential impacts.Perform critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and what-if scenarios.Develop schedule reports, progress curves, cash flow reports, cost forecasts, and other project controls reporting.Support cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and earned value management activities.Review project changes and evaluate potential cost and schedule impacts.Perform quality checks on project controls data, schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.Manage and prioritize a large volume of project schedules simultaneously.Communicate project status, schedule concerns, and potential issues to project teams and stakeholders.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; applicable project controls experience may substitute for the degree.3+ years of direct project controls or project scheduling experience.Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6.Experience supporting electrical Transmission & Distribution projects, including transmission lines, substations, and/or distribution systems.Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, schedule logic, forecasting, and project controls principles.Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, interpersonal, and meeting facilitation skills.Proactive approach to gathering project information and identifying potential schedule impacts.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour certification.Aspen Technical Staffing Celebrating 25 Years ~2001-2026~ We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
