Insurance Coverage Position

Work closely with Partners and other attorneys on a broad range of insurance coverage matters and litigation. Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage issues involving both first-party and third-party claims. Draft comprehensive coverage opinion letters regarding CGL, property, and other insurance policies. Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation-related documents. Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions. Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations regarding coverage disputes and litigation matters. Advise clients on insurance coverage issues, policy interpretation, claims handling, and risk exposure. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, coverage assessments, and litigation strategy. Draft detailed reports, status updates, and legal analyses for clients and carriers. Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and deliver high-quality legal services. Handle multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail. Represent clients in coverage-related disputes and contribute to successful case outcomes through strong advocacy and legal analysis. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active admission to practice law in the State of Illinois and in good standing. Minimum of 4 years of insurance coverage litigation experience. Strong experience drafting coverage opinions involving Commercial General Liability (CGL), property, and other insurance policies. Experience handling both first-party and third-party insurance claims. Demonstrated coverage analysis, legal research, and persuasive writing skills. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex insurance coverage issues. Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts. Experience managing client relationships and providing practical, business-focused legal advice. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
