We help jobseekers find sustainable employment through coaching, scholarships, and on‑the‑job training, and partner with local businesses to connect them to various employment opportunities. Desired Outcomes The Manager of Workforce Operations ensures program activities, policies, and procedures are implemented on time. This role requires effective communication, conflict resolution, and coordination with staff delivering talent development services. Expectations Lead with accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to high‑quality workforce services. Guide staff, ensure compliance, and monitor performance outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities Ensure effective delivery of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Trade Adjustment Assistance, and Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment. Deliver customized training and other training products, including Information Training Accounts, tracking participants in OSMIS and Salesforce. Oversee safety of all staff present within the Michigan Works! service center. Manage daily operations of the talent team’s service delivery for WIOA DW/Adult and TAA in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties. Monitor team and individual KPIs and provide coaching to support goal achievement. Maintain data validation and file integrity through file monitoring. Track programmatic training and supportive service budgets. Collaborate with Trainer and Risk Management to create and deliver staff training ensuring quality services. Work with performance manager to review metrics monthly and identify improvement areas. Prepare and comply with programmatic local, state and federal auditing procedures. Develop operating procedures, job aids and training materials in collaboration with HR, Risk Management, and governance. Share knowledge of current services, high‑demand sectors, and job openings with the talent team. Screen and interview candidates for the talent team and execute a robust onboarding process. Create innovative marketing and recruitment strategies for workforce programs. Build and maintain relationships with community partner agencies and businesses. Implement an ongoing workgroup to address operational challenges. Audit each Career Development Specialist’s physical and electronic files. Ensure a superior customer experience for job seekers, resulting in satisfaction. Manage attendance, performance, development, training and discipline for direct reports. Engage in ongoing professional development to keep management skills and program knowledge current. Align activities with Kinexus’s mission, vision, and values. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, human services, workforce development, or a related field. Knowledge of workforce development programs and local labor market demand. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; ability to collaborate with supervisors, peers, and staff. Demonstrated ability to hire, train, develop, supervise, and manage staff. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead projects in a fast‑paced environment. Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms. Preferred Experience Knowledge of database systems including OSMIS and Michigan Talent Connect. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Must be willing and able to travel between Benton Harbor and Paw Paw, MI. Work Environment Competitive salary and benefits.
