Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Position Overview: The role involves providing professional nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit, coordinating care plans, and delivering individualized, age-specific bedside care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Key Responsibilities: Assessing patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge needs determining nursing diagnoses setting realistic, patient-centered outcome goals individualizing care plans implementing nursing and medical orders participating in hourly rounding acting as a shift supervisor delegating tasks evaluating the quality of nursing practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes Skills & Qualifications: Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills ability to work in a fast-paced environment excellent customer service basic computer skills Requires a nursing degree from an accredited school current RN license in the state relevant certifications such as CPR, ACLS, and NRP Additional specialized training or experience in fetal monitoring, NICU, or specific certifications is preferred Additional Details: The role includes ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and may involve being in charge during shifts.
