Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM 7:30 AM | 3 x 12

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week contract position in Springfield, Massachusetts. The RN will work in a large, high-acuity Emergency Department caring for a diverse patient population ranging from behavioral health and boarding patients to emergency, trauma, and critically ill ICU-level patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments of Emergency Department patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical condition.

• Provide emergency and critical-care nursing interventions for patients with medical, behavioral health, trauma, and ICU-level needs.

• Monitor unstable patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions and escalation of care.

• Administer medications, coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a high-volume Emergency Department.

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.

• Minimum 2 Years of Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing Experience Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Current ACLS Certification Required.

• Candidate Must Reside More Than 90 Miles From the Work Location; Ability to Work 12-Hour Night and Holiday Shifts Required.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide skilled, responsive, and evidence-based care for patients across a broad range of emergency and critical-care needs.
