Join to apply for the Physical Therapist (27479) role at Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center Buffalo Hearing & Speech is currently looking for a part-time (2-3 full days/week) Pediatric Physical Therapist to work at our preschool special education program in Fredonia. The PT is part of a multi-disciplinary team working towards the student's IEP goals. Responsibilities: Provide PT services to students with congenital or developmental disabilities, physical illnesses, or injuries. Conduct examinations, evaluations, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions to achieve optimal functional outcomes. Adhere to the principles and practices of physical therapy and standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association. Evaluate therapy needs and participate in creating and revising treatment plans. Perform physical therapy procedures as ordered and communicate with team members. Collaborate with family members, teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other team members. Supervise and mentor PTAs and student PTs. Maintain accurate records and submit reports as per agency guidelines. Make recommendations for program materials and adaptive equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Graduate of a Physical Therapy curriculum from an accredited university or college. Licensed and registered as a Physical Therapist in New York State. Physical ability to perform job tasks, including standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and other physical actions. Good vision, speech, tactile, and hearing senses. Ability to work with pediatric patients in various settings. Additional Details: Entry level position. Part-time employment.
