Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting machinery/scrap material to various locations. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will ensure the loads get delivered/picked up in a timely and safely manner. Duties: - Operate Tractor-trailer trucks - Operate stepdecks, flatbeds, lowboys, tiltbed trailer, dumps and rolloff trailers. - Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, report to our mechanic and fill out inspection reports for truck and trailer - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and driving time between trips - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members - Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols Requirements: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL class A) - Experience chaining/strapping down loads - Experience operating manual transmission vehicles - 10 Speed/13 Speed - Experience hauling wide, oversize and overwidth loads - Proven experience as a tractor trailer driver - Knowledge of route planning and navigation systems - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Strong attention to detail and time management skills - Excellent communication skills with dispatchers and yard management.
