Splunk Implementation

• Install, configure and maintain Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud components.
• Configure Universal Forwarders.
• Configure Heavy Forwarders.
• Configure indexers.
• Configure search heads.
• Configure deployment servers.
• Configure clustering components.
• Onboard logs and metrics from servers, applications, databases, network devices, security tools and cloud platforms.
• Create and manage indexes.
• Create and manage sourcetypes.
• Perform field extractions.
• Manage tags and event types.
• Manage lookups and knowledge objects.
• Develop SPL queries.
• Develop dashboards.
• Develop alerts.
• Develop reports and operational views.
• Support Splunk ITSI implementation, including:
  • Services
  • KPIs
  • Glass tables
  • Correlation searches
  • Notable events
• Implement Splunk Enterprise Security use cases where required.

Dynatrace Implementation

• Deploy and configure Dynatrace OneAgent across:
  • Servers
  • VMs
  • Containers
  • Kubernetes
  • Cloud platforms
  • Application environments
• Configure Dynatrace monitoring for:
  • Applications
  • Infrastructure
  • Databases
  • Services
  • APIs
  • Cloud workloads
• Implement Dynatrace Davis AI-based problem detection.
• Perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement service flow.
• Implement dependency mapping.
• Implement anomaly detection.
• Configure dashboards.
• Configure management zones.
• Configure tagging rules.
• Configure alerting profiles.
• Configure synthetic monitoring.
• Configure real-user monitoring.
• Support integration with enterprise tools such as:

Role Summary

A hands-on Splunk and Dynatrace Implementation Engineer who will execute observability, monitoring, AIOps and automation activities on the ground.

The engineer will work under the guidance of the Splunk/Dynatrace Architect and customer stakeholders to configure platforms, onboard data sources, implement dashboards, create alerts, integrate with ITSM tools and operationalize AIOps use cases across infrastructure, applications, cloud and network environments.
