POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)

The Arthritis Foundation is looking for a graphic & multimedia designer with a strong design aesthetics and keen eye for detail. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

1. Develop assets for a wide variety of content, marketing, and communications needs.
2. Design marketing and communications print and digital collateral as assigned, producing a cohesive and consistent look aligned with Foundation brand standards.
3. Assist with video and motion graphics production, including video editing and motion design of video graphics, titles, audio and illustrations.
4. Manage high-demand workflow to meet deadlines and ensure the highest level of quality.
5. Assist in design of local templated event materials. Must ensure that all brand standards are met.
6. Deliver high-quality print and digital design and production services that meet industry standards.
7. Work with print and digital vendor specs as needed to ensure all files are complete and accurate.
8. Work closely with Strategic Marketing Managers and Marketing Project Coordinators to make sure all art and asset design is accurate and on brand.
9. Responsible for archiving design files, photos, footage and illustrations for the department, as well as communicating effectively to ensure that everyone is aware of, and in compliance with, the most current assets and expectations.
10. Maintain knowledge and competence of current and emerging applications of technology and their impact on design and graphics.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

1. Associate's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline/experience required.
2. 5+ years of experience in design for both print and digital media.
3. Proven design strategy expertise using big-picture thinking, as well as skills in effective visual storytelling, layout, color, typography, visual hierarchy, photography and illustration.
4. Strong understanding of graphic design workflow and organization.
5. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, handling multiple projects and priorities.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with people at all levels.
7. Thorough knowledge of Macintosh computer systems and active experience in:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Microsoft Office Suite (365)
• Adobe After Effects
• Animation/Video Packaging
• Adobe Premiere
• Basic video editing
• Basic sound editing
• CODECs and compression tools
• Canva
