You will work alongside other Insight Engineers as well as Data Engineers to improve our reporting and analytics capabilities – with the ultimate goal to improve the customer experience. This involves detailed analysis, close partnerships with multiple cross teams, reliable documentation, user acceptance testing, etc. Strong organizational skills are required. Responsibilities:Developing, debugging, assessing and monitoring quality of reporting – while supporting similar upstream ETL efforts in close partnership with the Data EngineersRelentlessly focused on delivering value through actionable insights, reliable metrics, and continuous improvement on 1) quality 2) process 3) visualization strategy 4) agilityInvestigating data anomalies, reporting upstream issues, and uncovering areas for improvementLeading ongoing reviews of requirements, roadmaps, and developing optimization strategiesCreating and maintaining documentation on reporting requirements, metric definitions, etc.Effectively communicate findings to teammates and stakeholdersGathering feedback and action items from meetings and translate into tickets / team notesEnsuring data integrity is maintained throughout the release of new product features by testing and monitoring data alongside test groups both pre and post launchManaging multiple projects, developing plans, and monitoring performanceMonitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projectsQuerying / combining / analyzing data in Hive and Athena to answer business questionsRequired Technical SkillsHigh proficiency on SQL, understanding on all SQL fundamentals and able to write and interpret complex queriesVisualizing dataBuilding, troubleshooting, and optimizing Tableau dashboardsPresenting insights – following an intuitive storyline that address business questions (via Tableau, PowerPoint, direct communication, etc.)Additional Requirements:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent documentation skillsCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsPreferred: A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalizationNice to Have: AWS, Gitlab, Kibana, working with YAML, SparkRequired Skills : Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : Works on designing, adapted, and partially coded ETL strategy to enable Tableau reporting from AWS Hive.
