You’ll make things happen–fast.As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Growth team, you'll be at the forefront of building and scaling ZoomInfo's core backend services. You'll work primarily with Java to develop robust, high-performance systems that power our platform and serve millions of users.You'll design and implement scalable microservices, optimize existing systems, and build infrastructure that enables rapid feature development. Your expertise in Java will be essential, while knowledge of Node.js will provide valuable flexibility in our diverse technology ecosystem.Our engineering culture values diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and openness. You'll have the autonomy to work on meaningful projects while receiving the support and mentorship needed to grow your career.What You'll do:Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworksArchitect and implement microservices that handle high-volume traffic and complex business logicCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresOptimize application performance, scalability, and reliabilityWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practicesParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior engineersTroubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systemsContribute to technical architecture decisions and system designImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for backend servicesStay current with emerging technologies and industry best practicesWhat you bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience6+ years of experience with backend software development using Java3+ years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems2+ years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadershipStrong expertise in Java frameworks and technologies (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle)Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architectureProficiency with relational and NoSQL databasesPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or EngineeringExperience with Node.js for backend development (strong advantage)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesFamiliarity with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)Experience with performance optimization and scalabilityStrong understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles#LI-AR2#LI-SK1#LI-HybridActual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
