Our focus is on designing, manufacturing, and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports, and specialty filter markets.Summary:The Director of Warehouse Operations develops and manages all strategic and tactical aspects of the company’s warehousing and logistics operations. This role provides leadership and direction for warehouse operations, transportation, inventory flow, and third-party logistics partnerships while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective receiving, storage, and distribution of products. The Director establishes short- and long-term objectives, aligns operational priorities with business growth and customer service goals, monitors performance and capacity requirements, manages budgets and carrier relationships, and collaborates across Supply Chain, Sales, and other functions to improve service levels, turnaround times, operational continuity, and overall performance.Functional DescriptionCoordinates the efficient movement of product. Manage, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manages contractual relationships with freight carriers, 3 PLs and other suppliers. Interfaces with the greater supply chain and commercial functions to assure service levels, turnaround time and cost goals are met.Functional/Business Knowledge:Possesses in-depth knowledge of the leading practices of a functional area and familiarity with several others.Fully understands and translates organization, business strategies, and company’s goals to functional priorities.Scope:Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.Interacts internally and externally with others, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.Recognized as an influential leader throughout the organization.Take an active role in decision making and influences the company’s direction.Thorough assessment of factors, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction.Responsibilities:Sets vision, strategic direction, expectations, annual and long-term objectives for logistics and warehouse operations.Strategically adjusts department’s activities, policies and practices to meet and/or exceed key performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals.Develops strong partnerships with the various teams within the organization – Supply Chain and Sales.Analyze, plan and ensure the preparedness for the growth of the Company in terms of capacities to maintain and ensure proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business.Ensures contingency policies, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption.Champions efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of changes within areas of responsibility.Manages transportation plans, annual transportation budget and develops and administers programs to determine the most advantageous and economical methods of shipment for company products.Manage the importation and exportation of goodsAdheres to all company policies, practices, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Promotes a safe and compliant work environment by following all job-specific safety guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements; promptly addressing hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions; and reinforcing safe work practices throughout warehousing and logistics operations.Performs additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:In-depth knowledge of warehousing and inventory management procedures.Outstanding leadership traits to include superior written, communication, problem solving, presentation and influencing skills.Ability to operate strategically, while understanding the tactical implications of decisions.Strong analytical skills, and financial acumen.Experience and Education Requirements:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience.10+ years of years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry.Functional/Business Knowledge:Viewed as a subject matter expert within specific area.Reviews objectives to determine success of operation.
