Electrical CAD Engineer

Job Description

CTR Group is seeking an Electrical CAD Engineer for an exciting opportunity with a Manufacturer in the Renewable Energy industry in Newport News, VA.

SUMMARY:

The Electrical CAD Engineer would need to have the understanding and ability to design electrical control panels and instrumentation equipment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ability to design electrical controls from written specification
Ability to design controls based on the quoted scope of supply for the projects
Assemble and provide submittal packages with all proper drawings and documentation
(Optional) Assemble and provide Operations and Maintenance manuals for equipment to submit to customers
Support the manufacturing team by providing answers to technical questions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
Self-manage workflow for on-time project completion
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
Supportive team player
