This principal-level role is a strategic individual contributor and technical authority responsible for shaping NTT DATA's endpoint management service capabilities, leading complex high-value client engagements, defining architectural standards, and driving practice innovation. The Principal Engineer acts as the highest-level technical escalation point and plays a direct role in EPM business development and strategic client relationships.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Architecture & Technical Authority• Define and govern NTT DATA EPM's SCCM/Intune architectural standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.• Lead architectural design for complex, multi-tenant, and global endpoint management environments (50,000+ endpoints).• Provide expert-level guidance on Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 endpoint ecosystem integration.• Evaluate and position emerging technologies — Microsoft Intune Suite, Advanced Endpoint Analytics, AI-driven endpoint management — for client adoption.• Serve as the final escalation authority for critical technical incidents, complex architecture decisions, and platform crisis management.Enterprise Program Leadership• Lead strategic EPM transformation programs — large-scale SCCM-to-Intune migrations, Windows 11 enterprise rollouts, and zero-trust endpoint adoption.• Own delivery governance for marquee client accounts — executive steering, contractual performance, risk management, and escalation resolution.• Define and oversee enterprise patch management governance frameworks for compliance-critical environments (HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, NIST).• Architect enterprise-scale Windows Autopilot and Modern Provisioning frameworks for global device refresh programs.• Lead endpoint security posture improvement programs integrating Defender for Endpoint, Intune, and SIEM platforms.Innovation & Practice Development• Drive EPM practice innovation — developing reusable IP, automation frameworks, accelerators, and service offerings.• Lead development of NTT DATA's EPM tooling portfolio including reporting platforms, compliance automation, and managed service playbooks.• Publish technical thought leadership content — white papers, reference architectures, and best practice guides.• Represent NTT DATA EPM capabilities at client executive briefings, industry events, and Microsoft partner forums.• Define and evolve the EPM Job Description library, competency frameworks, and technical interview standards.Mentorship & Capability Building• Serve as the technical mentor and coach for Grade 8–10 engineers across EPM accounts.• Lead EPM capability building programs — technical training, certification pathways, and skills assessment.• Define engineering excellence standards, peer review processes, and quality assurance frameworks for EPM deliverables.• Partner with NTT DATA talent and university programs to build the EPM talent pipeline.Business Development & Client Advisory• Contribute to EPM business development — supporting RFP responses, solution design, and client presentations.• Build and maintain strategic relationships with client CIOs, IT Directors, and endpoint management leadership.• Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing EPM accounts through solution advisory and innovation workshops.• Collaborate with Microsoft account teams, Intune product teams, and partner ecosystem to advance client outcomes.REQUIRED SKILLS• Microsoft SCCM/ConfigMgr — expert-level architecture, operations, and large-scale delivery (15,000+ endpoints)• Microsoft Intune — tenant architecture, advanced MDM/MAM, Autopilot at scale, co-management mastery• Modern endpoint security — Defender for Endpoint, Zero Trust endpoint model, Conditional Access architecture• Microsoft 365 + Entra ID ecosystem — holistic endpoint lifecycle within Microsoft cloud environment• PowerShell + Graph API — enterprise-grade automation, platform tooling, and operational frameworks• Power BI + SQL — executive-level endpoint analytics, compliance dashboards, and reporting platforms• Enterprise program management — large-scale delivery governance, executive communication, risk management• Business acumen — SOW/contract understanding, client advisory, revenue-awareness in deliveryAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
