Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Veteran Disability Evaluations
Our organization is in search of a committed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits assessment process. This position entails performing targeted, in-person physical examinations and electronically reviewing medical records to fulfill the necessary documentation for the VA.
Primary Responsibilities:- Carry out in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
- Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA paperwork.
- Offer medical insights based on your evaluation findings.
Important: This position does not include treatment or medication prescriptions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is responsible for making disability determinations, not the provider.
Position Overview:- Schedule: Monday to Thursday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Location: In-person role.
- Caseload: 3-5 Veterans daily.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A caring professional committed to assisting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment information.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and online portals.
- A professional and compassionate approach when engaging with Veterans.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
