After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to workfromhome up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT Division as a Network Administrator (Telecommunications Specialist). This role handles the administration of the networks for two data centers, our Home Office campus, and branch offices. A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field with a focus in Networking Systems or equivalent experience is required. Responsibilities include: Troubleshooting any network equipment or connection issues (Routers, Layer 2 and 3 switches, WAN acceleration devices, firewalls, etc) Planning, coordinating, and implementing network equipment upgrades Being the point of contact for contracted companies that are servicing our remote branches Ability to convey ideas to multiple audiences Provide proposals and recommendations for network enhancements Occasional maintenance or upgrades that fall outside of normal business hours are required Administration of voice systems Desired Skills and Experience Experience with any of the following: IOS

NX-OS

Dynamic Routing Protocols (including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP) Data Center knowledge (including VDC, VPC, Port-Channeling, HSRP, Spanning Tree, etc.) VoIP Phone System (PRI, SIP, CUBE) Communications Collaboration Product Suites (Voicemail, Instant Messaging) Firewalls, including IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) WAN (Wide Area Network) acceleration devices TACACS (Terminal Access Controller Access Control System) NAC (Network Access Control) Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) Network administration certifications or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred Great customer service skills Effective communication and coordination skills Self-motivating individual with a proven history of growing technical skills Auto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
