Registered Nurse - PACU

Medical City Heart & Spine, Dallas, TX

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PACU team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery. The PACU unit has a total of 16 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1. You will work collaboratively with a team of 16 staff members, including a charge nurse to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient's vital signs and stability in the post-anesthesia care unit.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids as needed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have Critical Care ICU experience and PACU experience.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Preferred: Cardiac experience; Ortho/Neuro experience.
