Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer, ML Acceleration

Salary: $168,400 - 193,500 per year Requirements:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of experience programming in at least one software language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience serving as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead
• Bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles

• We are responsible for the software that supports server components and integrates with EC2
• We develop firmware to initialize, monitor, and manage custom machine learning accelerators at AWS scale
• We work with the MLA Hardware, Test, and Manufacturing teams to build a coordinated software package for qualification and rapid software deployment
• We develop maintainable, improvable, documented, tested, and reusable software in C, C++, Python, and Lua
