Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring adherence to standards of practice, safety protocols, and individualized patient needs. Coordinates care activities, educates patients and families, and collaborates with the healthcare team to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and continuously reevaluate patients' conditions, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Implement nursing interventions aligned with established protocols, standards, and policies.
• Educate patients and their families on care procedures, discharge planning, and health management.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks appropriately to support staff and monitor their performance.
• Document patient data, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly according to standards.
• Communicate patient status, progress, and concerns effectively with multidisciplinary team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid MA RN license.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of med/surg nursing experience preferred.
• Possess ACLS certification; PALS certification preferred.
• Exhibit mature professional behaviors, including tact, empathy, and diplomacy.
• Capable of performing physical tasks involving lifting, reaching, and handling equipment.
• Show strong interpersonal, teamwork, and analytical skills.
