In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining freight velocity-loading and unloading incoming and outgoing trailers, sorting shipments, and ensuring cargo is handled safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Safely load and unload freight from semi-trailers, box trucks, and shipping containers.
• Use manual/electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and staging equipment to transport cargo across the dock floor.
• Sort, scan, and stage shipments accurately by route, zip code, or destination bin.
• Inspect inbound and outbound freight for damage, correct quantities, and proper labeling.
• Secure freight inside trailers using straps, load bars, and dunnage to prevent transit damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cross-dock area free of debris and tripping hazards.

What You Need

• Prior dock, freight handling, cross-dock, or warehouse loading experience preferred.
• Experience operating pallet jacks (manual or powered) is a plus.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and move actively throughout your shift.
• Steel-toe work boots required on the dock floor.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a focus on dock safety.
• Reliable transportation and dependable, punctual attendance every day.
• Ability to pass standard background screening and drug testing requirements.
