POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and performance of The Healing Place's Campbellsville Campus. This position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for staff, ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and funding requirements, and maintains the integrity of The Healing Place recovery model.

The Program Director serves as the primary representative of The Healing Place within the Campbellsville community, building strong relationships with community partners, public agencies, donors, funders, and other stakeholders. This role requires a proactive, relationship-driven leader who can operate independently, foster a culture of accountability and recovery, develop high-performing teams, and advance organizational goals through strong leadership and community engagement.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily operations at the Campbellsville Campus.
• Supervise, coach, and develop staff while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and peer-supported recovery.
• Ensure the facility is properly maintained and operates in a safe, effective, and welcoming manner.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable licensing, accreditation, regulatory, contractual, and funding requirements.
• Adhere to contract requirements, inspections, audits, Department of Corrections standards, and PREA standards.
• Establish and maintain a culture of peer-supported recovery within long-term residential programming.
• Oversee information, screening, referral, intake, and program admission processes.
• Facilitate regular supervision, coaching, and professional development meetings with Peer Mentors.
• Ensure program curriculum is implemented consistently and with fidelity.
• Facilitate and/or oversee community meetings and peer mentor meetings.
• Maintain consistency of The Healing Place program model across all service delivery.
• Provide administrative supervision to program staff and collaborate with designated licensed personnel regarding clinical oversight requirements.
• Monitor program performance, outcomes, and service quality to ensure alignment with organizational standards and goals.
• Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for staff.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders, referral sources, public agencies, funders, and donors.
• Represent The Healing Place throughout the community and serve as a liaison with external partners and systems.
• Support fundraising activities, grant initiatives, donor engagement, and resource development efforts.
• Collect, analyze, and report program outcomes and impact data to support organizational growth and stewardship efforts.

  QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
• Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a health and human services organization required, including staff supervision, program oversight, and community engagement. Experience in recovery, behavioral health, or other social service settings preferred. 
• CADC preferred. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and effectively engage community stakeholders. 
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, remain stationary or move throughout the facility and community as needed, and operate standard office equipment. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in an office, residential program, or community setting. The employee will regularly interact with staff, clients, community partners, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Occasional local travel and limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions may be required.
