This contract role lets you bring your expertise to two engaging settings: one classroom with K-2 students in an elementary autism self-contained program, and another with PreK students in a self-contained setting with para support. Both positions are onsite, providing direct interaction and support for students who benefit most from structured, personalized instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) license; open to emergency or pending certifications
• Candidates in Teachers of America or ITeach programs encouraged to apply
• Experience working in elementary or PreK special education, particularly with self-contained and autism support, is preferred
• Strong collaboration skills for team teaching with paraeducators
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom community

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of learners in self-contained environments
• Work closely with paraeducators and support staff to maximize student progress
• Monitor and document educational and behavioral goals, providing regular updates to teams and families
• Foster a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere that celebrates student growth and achievement
