Empowerment Counseling Services, LLC (ECS) is growing, and we're looking for the right clinicians to grow with us.

We're not interested in building a practice where clinicians simply see clients, complete notes, and go home.

We're seeking experienced, compassionate, energetic, and innovative Part-Time Mental Health Clinicians who believe great therapy can be both clinically sound and authentically human.

Position Overview

Position: Part-Time Mental Health Clinician
Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible Part-Time
Work Model: Hybrid
Location: Smithfield, Virginia
In-Person Requirement: Two days per week
Virtual Options: Available for appropriate clients and services

Candidates may be independently licensed or license- eligible/supervisees working toward independent clinical licensure , provided all Virginia requirements for their role and services are met.

What You'll Do

As an ECS clinician, you will:

• Provide individual, couples, family, and/or other outpatient behavioral health services based on your training and scope of practice
• Maintain an agreed-upon part-time caseload
• Provide both in-person and telehealth services
• Complete timely, accurate, clinically appropriate documentation
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable clinical goals
• Maintain appropriate professional and ethical boundaries
• Collaborate with ECS clinicians, leadership, administrative staff, and community partners
• Participate in consultation, supervision, training, and professional-development opportunities as appropriate
• Contribute ideas for improving client care and the overall ECS experience
• Help identify opportunities for new groups, programs, workshops, community partnerships, and specialty services

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of behavioral health and/or outpatient mental health experience preferred
• Appropriate Virginia mental health credentials and eligibility to provide services within their professional scope
• Experience providing behavioral health or outpatient clinical services
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
• Excellent clinical documentation
• Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and complete documentation within agency expectations
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative and accountable

Compensation

Competitive 1099 contractor compensation based on credentials, experience, services provided, payer reimbursement, and caseload.

Compensation structure and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
