Position Nurse Tech – Neuro Trauma ICU – PRN days (46211), Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN Employment Type Temporary, Non‑exempt, Part‑time, Standard Hours 0.01 Responsibilities Performs selected nursing functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse in the Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU). Provides direct and/or indirect care of patients, including acute or critically injured, especially those with traumatic injuries and neurological involvement. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the age of patients served in the STICU, assesses data reflective of the patient’s status, and responds appropriately. Implements, evaluates, and documents care plans. Administers pharmacological drugs as ordered, performs assigned procedures, and operates necessary equipment in accordance with unit policies and procedures. Qualifications Student nurse (RN or LPN) within one year of graduation from an accredited nursing program is considered. Medical background is preferred.
