Registered Nurse, Emergency DepartmentARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Multiple Shifts) in Alamogordo, New Mexico.LocationAlamogordo, NMAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/ShiftMultiple shifts available; exact times to be confirmed in the interview.Job DescriptionThe competent Nurse in this role practices independently within an Emergency Department setting, providing routine and complex care to a diverse patient population, which includes clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all matters pertinent to the Emergency Department.ResponsibilitiesMeet expectations of applicable One CHRISTUS Competencies, whether as Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders.Provide nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families based on the level of practice.Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.Required ExperienceMust have at least 2 years of nursing experience with recent experience in Emergency Department Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma cases.Certifications/LicensureCurrent BLS certification required (AHA only)Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)Current PALS certification required (AHA only)Current TNCC certification requiredRN License in the state of New Mexico or compactAbout ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
