What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)
Required Skills
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
- General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
- Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
- Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
- Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS , and HDFS
- Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) automation tools e.g., SaltStack, Ansible
- Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Desired Skills
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Appreciates a sense of humor and the occasional well-timed joke
Requirements
- Certifications: Security +
- Fifteen (15) years' experience
- Bachelors in Technical Discipline or an additional 5 years' experience
