Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing established diagnostic criteria to inform care.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement personalized treatment plans that address specific needs, fostering an empowering therapeutic alliance.

• Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment options, providing tools for self-management and coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and response to therapy.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Soothing Sanctuary, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This diverse clientele necessitates a tailored approach to mental health treatment, focusing on each individual’s lived experiences and personal context to deliver empathetic care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Florida.
