Located in Evansville, IN Salary: $17-19/hr DOE Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist (Lathe) to join a locally owned and operated precision machining and hydraulic services company in Evansville, IN. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on machining experience who takes pride in producing high-quality parts and supporting reliable repair solutions. Pay Rate: Based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, standard business hours Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, and threading operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments or repairs to equipment as needed
- Perform maintenance and light repair work on hydraulic machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating manual lathes
- Experience with hydraulic machines or hydraulic repair preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
