About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care in Lanham, MD is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team serving the District Heights area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who need support to live safely and comfortably at home. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO BE CONSIDERED
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments or errands
Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
Requirements:
Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience required
Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
CNA license is a plus
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
