Lean Specialist

A rapidly growing aerospace MRO organisation supporting both commercial and military customers is seeking a Lean Specialist to help drive operational excellence across engine and component overhaul operations. This is a high-impact role within a state-of-the-art MRO facility , where lean thinking, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement are critical to success. The Opportunity You’ll play a key role in embedding lean principles across engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams—helping to improve efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement in a highly regulated aerospace environment. Key Responsibilities Analyse end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks Implement lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and JIT Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from concept to delivery Deliver lean training and coaching across all levels of the organisation Establish and track KPIs to measure performance and improvement impact Drive waste reduction across inventory, motion, waiting time and rework Develop standardised work instructions to improve consistency and quality Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality and supply chain Produce clear reporting for senior leadership on progress and outcomes Ensure all improvements align with aerospace safety and regulatory requirements 3–5 years’ experience in lean, continuous improvement, operations or process improvement Aerospace, MRO or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business or similar Lean Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing / Project Management certification preferred Proven hands‑on experience delivering measurable improvement initiatives Confident working with data, metrics and performance dashboards What We’re Looking For Results-driven, action-oriented mindset Strong communicator able to influence at all organisational levels Comfortable working in fast-paced, operational environments Pragmatic problem-solver who sees projects through to completion Team-focused and collaborative approach Combination of office and MRO shop-floor exposure Full-time, on-site role within a large aerospace maintenance facility If you’re a Lean professional looking to make a visible impact in aerospace MRO and be part of a business investing heavily in continuous improvement, this is a role worth exploring. #J-18808-Ljbffr Capilaux Aero
