Manufacturing Sanitation Specialist – Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred

Location:  Miramar
Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary manufacturing facility in accordance with established SOPs and cGMP standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous sanitation or cleaning experience in a manufacturing or production environment and understand the importance of maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards. This position requires someone who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping the facility and equipment clean and organized.

**Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.**

Essential Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment, utensils, tools, and work areas according to established procedures.
Disassemble equipment, organize parts, rinse, foam, rinse again, and sanitize equipment as required.
Remove waste and empty trash throughout the day to maintain a clean work environment.
Clean and maintain production areas, offices, laboratories, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and conference rooms.
Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors throughout the facility.
Clean walls, ceilings, windows, doors, ledges, baseboards, vents, and other areas as assigned.
Follow daily and master cleaning schedules and complete required cleaning checklists.
Perform in-process verification checks and document completed sanitation tasks.

Maintain cleaning supplies and notify the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
Operate equipment such as trash compactors, floor buffers, and cardboard balers.
Assist the Sanitation Supervisor and leads with additional cleaning and sanitation tasks as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times.

Required Qualifications

Previous sanitation/cleaning experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience and training.
Knowledge of general sanitation and cleaning procedures.
Experience safely handling and using cleaning chemicals.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative without constant supervision.
Ability to maintain consistent cleanliness and sanitation standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to use hands and arms to handle cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning activities.
Ability to work around cleaning chemicals while following all required safety procedures.

Important: Candidates should have a strong understanding of the importance of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in a manufacturing environment. This position is best suited for candidates with hands-on manufacturing sanitation experience, not general housekeeping or residential cleaning experience alone.
