Job Summary
Hiring only the Finest Hair Stylists & Barbers
At Hammer and Nails, we provide more than just a haircut; we provide an experience that men simply cannot get anywhere else. Our concept welcomes men into the art of grooming by offering the exceptional technical services of an old school barber shop with the feel of an exclusive lounge where any man can put his feet up in our over-sized leather chairs, sip his favorite aged scotch, and relax while being treated like a king. We believe in affordable luxury experiences that is not pretentious, but accessible to everyone.
Here, we do not rush to turn guests over and churn services out. Our clients are worth more than a 13-minute haircut. We know quality is in the details. Our artists craft a unique experience by educating their guests on grooming routines, products, and services that fit their lifestyle. Our concept is full-service, which means your guest can enjoy traditional barbering services, hand and foot care, or facial waxing. Trained sales and marketing professionals manage your guests to ensure you stay busy behind the chair, focusing on the thing you love most. Responsibilities
- Evaluate customers’ face shape, hair features, and personal preferences to recommend appropriate haircuts and hairstyles.
- Wash hair at wash stations at your station with appropriate products
- Apply hair treatment products
- Execute amazing haircuts, trims, and shaves
- Apply highlights, ombre, balayage, and other hair coloring techniques
- Provide customers with a wide range of hair styling options, from formal to casual
Qualifications
- Must have current Hair Stylist or Barber License issued from the California State Board of Cosmetology.
- Proven experience as a stylist, hairdresser, or similar role is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of hair cutting techniques and best practices
- Skilled at hair coloring/grey camo.
- Up-to-date with trends in fashion and beauty
