Adjunct Faculty, Department of Environmental Science

Overview The Department of Environmental Science within the School of Earth and Environment at Rowan University is seeking qualified candidates to teach an array of introductory courses in future semesters. The position will require teaching courses and may offer additional opportunities in summer and winter semesters. Rowan University is located in Glassboro, N.J., approximately 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia. Responsibilities Teach introductory courses in Environmental Science. Provide teaching assistance and course materials as needed. Participate in department meetings and professional development activities. Qualifications MS or higher degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Ph.D. preferred. Eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship). Benefits & Compensation In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as‑needed basis.
