Manager, Product

Job Description The Product Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of software product implementations, including the development and execution of project plans designed to satisfy specifications and expectations regarding software services and products. They ensure the product meets specifications and client expectations through test plans, coordinate the development of all tiers of product documentation, and facilitate client support. What You Will Do Project manage implementation projects as directed, including planning, execution, staff supervision, support, and follow‑up on client issues. Develop system acceptance testing criteria and document test results. Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for all functions involved with the delivery of software services and products. Collaborate with all levels of software management to monitor customer satisfaction and provide input for project identification, prioritization, staffing, and scheduling. Communicate project status and customer concerns to senior management and client support. Review and resolve quality control problems related to the production of software services or products. Approve the implementation or shipment of software products after evaluating compliance with company standards. Develop and/or review standards, policies, and procedures for all functions related to the delivery of company services and products. Coordinate development of all levels of system documentation. Prepare and deliver detailed presentations to company management, clients, and user groups. Interact directly with senior management and development project leaders in Houston and India as required. What You Will Need Education and Experience Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent in a business‑related field from an accredited university or equivalent industry experience. A master’s degree is preferred. Typically requires at least 8 years of experience. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proven experience in a systems development environment with project management responsibility. Clarity and conciseness in oral and written communications; demonstrated capability to produce effective presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences. Agile development training or related experience is a plus. Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System. Reporting Relationships The incumbent reports to a Manager, Director, or Executive level position and may have individual contributor direct reports.
