Safety Coordinator - Texas Operations

General Job Description IES Residential is looking for a passionate and experienced Safety Coordinator to help lead and elevate our safety culture across operations in Texas and surrounding markets. What You’ll Do Lead job site safety inspections and proactively identify risks Partner with leadership to build and reinforce a safety‑first mindset Deliver engaging safety trainings and lead impactful toolbox talks Investigate incidents and drive solutions that prevent future risks Support and participate in OSHA inspections with confidence Serve as the go-to safety expert for both field teams and management Communicate safety policies clearly and effectively across all levels Monitor compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices Assist with safety documentation, reporting, and corrective action follow‑up Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 years Specific Qualifications 5+ years of safety experience (construction experience preferred) Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance OSHA 500 Certification (preferred) Excellent communication and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to influence, lead, and collaborate across teams Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required Bonus Points: Residential or commercial construction industry experience, First Aid/CPR Instructor certification, Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills, Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations Location & Travel Home Base: San Antonio, TX Regional Travel: Travel throughout Texas and surrounding areas as needed Travel Requirement: Approximately 50‑75% Work Environment You’ll be in the field where it matters most—on active residential construction sites—working alongside crews, supervisors, and leadership. Expect a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment with regular travel throughout Texas and surrounding markets, as well as exposure to active construction environments and changing job site conditions.
