Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a hospital in Corsicana, TX, requiring L&D and Postpartum experience with a minimum of 2 years in the specialty.

Details

• 14-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes laboring, postpartum, nursery, and mother-baby couplet patients
• Patient ratios vary by area: Labor 1:1–2, Nursery 1:6, Postpartum 1:6, Mother-Baby 1:3 couplets
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, three shifts per week (Sunday–Saturday)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• EMR: Centricity

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license (currently in hand, not pending)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• L&D and Postpartum experience required; Nursery experience preferred
• All certifications must remain active through at least the first 30 days of the assignment
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Scrub color: any solid colors; OR scrubs are provided when necessary
• RTO is limited to less than one week per request, with a maximum of 36 hours total
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• 13-week contract
