General Manager - JARS Cannabis

This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine ownership. You'll oversee daily accounting, sales performance, compliance, and scheduling, while your Team Leads (our floor managers) handle day-to-day floor flow, assist sales associates and customer interactions under your direction. You're the one steering the location and developing your Team Leads into future GMs - all while getting to do it in an industry you're passionate about.

Reporting Structure & Support:
• You'll report to a District Manager who provides regular, in-person support - you're set up to succeed, not left to figure it out alone.
• Corporate HQ in Phoenix backs you up with dedicated sales, marketing, merchandising, procurement, compliance, and recruiting support, so you can focus on leading your team and your store.
• We provide formal training to set you up for success from day one.
• Clear SOPs and documentation back you and your team at every step - giving everyone a fair, consistent standard to work from while you build a great store.
• JARS is family-owned and operated - corporate is close and involved, not a distant franchise office.
Your Team:
• Team size ranges from 10 to 70 employees, depending on the location.
• You'll lead your Sales Associates, Inventory Members and Team Leads, coaching them and holding the location to our PAAR standards - Performance, Attitude, Attendance, and Respect - so customers have a great experience and the team thrives.
What You'll Own:
• Accounting & Reporting: Daily reconciliation and financial reporting for your location.
• Sales Performance: Tracking sales trends and adjusting staffing to hit goals.
• Compliance: Keeping your location fully compliant with Arizona regulations - inventory tracking, audit readiness etc.
• Team & Scheduling: Full scheduling ownership, coaching, and performance management across your team.
• Customer Experience: Ensuring every customer has a great visit, and stepping in when it matters most.
• Daily Operations: Opening/closing, security, and keeping the location running smoothly day to day.
We're looking for strong people leaders who care about compliance and customer satisfaction as much as they care about their team - this is true operational leadership, and a chance to make a real mark on one of Arizona's top dispensaries.

What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years in a retail or operations management role, ideally with experience owning scheduling, and compliance/audit outcomes.
• Comfort with hands-on accounting reconciliation and reporting.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ across multiple shifts.
• Valid Arizona Facility Agent (FA) Card, or the ability to obtain one before your start date - background check and fingerprinting required, typically approved within 3-5 business days. We'll guide you through this.
• Must be 21+, per Arizona regulatory requirements for all dispensary personnel.
• Comfortable staying active and on your feet throughout the day in a fast-paced retail environment.

Your First 90 Days:
• By 30 days, you'll be completing your training and prepping to begin running your store day-to-day with hands-on support from your District Manager.
• By 90 days, you'll have a full handle on daily operations and be holding your team to JARS standards - Performance, Attitude, Attendance, and Respect.
Schedule:
• Managers typically work Tuesday-Saturday.
• As a salaried leader, you'll stay connected with your Team Leads, employees, and corporate on your days off when needed - you're a phone call away for your team.
• We're open 365 days a year, and holidays are some of our busiest and most rewarding days - a great chance to lead your team through it and see the results firsthand.

Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive base salary: $65,00 - $70,000
