The X-Ray Technician operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. Responsible for patient preparation, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities

Establish rapport with patients to understand service requirements and reduce anxieties. Prepare patients for procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment controls. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Follow infection control policies and procedures. Ensure quality radiographs by adhering to standards and making necessary adjustments. Document patient care services in records and verify completed exams. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and anticipate needs. Comply with safety regulations to ensure a clean working environment. Stay updated on professional knowledge through CME requirements, workshops, and publications. Complete yearly Age-Specific Competency. Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification. Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Preferred Qualifications

Competency in diagnostic procedures. Strong communication skills in a team environment. Focus on quality, planning, and dependability. Ability to create a safe and effective environment. Additional Information
