Job Title Nursing Instructor - Portland, OR (On-Site) Job Description Kaplan North America, the world’s leading test preparation company, seeks outgoing Master’s‑prepared Registered Nurses to teach and mentor nursing graduates preparing for the NCLEX exam. Teachers receive paid training and ongoing support to build teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. Key Responsibilities Maintain high energy level and engage students to ensure an excellent student experience. Effectively facilitate learning and learner development. Learn Kaplan’s methodology and strategies quickly. Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management. Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required. Academic and Clinical Qualifications MSN or BSN required. Current, unencumbered RN license. 5+ years clinical nursing experience. Previous teaching or training experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills. Weekday availability required. Benefits and Compensation Competitive hourly teaching rates: $50‑55/hr. Hourly coaching rate: $35/hr. Paid training and preparation time. Pay increases. Established curriculum. Seasonal position based on nursing school graduation dates and testing cycles. Free or discounted Kaplan courses for qualifying employees or their family members under Kaplan’s Gift of Knowledge Program, including Purdue Global’s DNP program.
