The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic will specialize in servicing and maintaining trucks and a mixed fleet of vehicles. This role focuses on diesel engine repair, routine vehicle maintenance, and troubleshooting using manual tools and basic diagnostic software. The position operates on a day shift schedule with no travel requirements and plays a vital part in ensuring fleet reliability and performance through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain diesel engines on trucks and mixed fleet vehicles
- Perform diagnostic testing using basic software and manual tools
- Replace defective parts and components to restore vehicle functionality
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle life
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in diesel engine maintenance
- Skilled in diesel engine repair and hydraulic system servicing
- Knowledge of electrical systems and welding
- Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical and technical challenges
