Production Supervisor

At GE Vernova Power Conversion, we provide electrification solutions that enable customers to power energy-intensive operations while improving energy efficiency. We are recognized for delivering high-performance electrical systems and solutions across the marine, energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives are achieved while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to achieve manufacturing schedules and monthly production targets.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
• Drive quality excellence by ensuring products meet required quality standards.
• Allocate work effectively and optimize manpower utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
• Monitor production performance and support cost control against budget targets.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Fulfilment, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to meet production and customer requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Lead Lean initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, process improvements, and operational efficiency projects.
• Support the development, coaching, and performance management of production employees, including skills assessments and development discussions.
• Manage employee relations matters in partnership with HR, where required.
• Coordinate contractor activities in line with site requirements.
• Provide operational support and cover for peers as needed.
• Complete production reporting and other management activities as required.
• Undertake additional reasonable responsibilities in line with business needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred but not essential.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally involving rotating machinery or electrical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet production deadlines.
• Good computer literacy, including familiarity with manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions while also taking initiative independently.
