Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty in Accounting – ACCTG 610.01 Intermediate Accounting I – Summer Term 2026 Location: Moraga, CA Open Date: 2026-05-04 Description Founded in 1863, Saint Mary’s is a residential campus nestled 20 miles east of San Francisco in the picturesque Moraga Valley. The College is committed to the educational benefits of diversity. Course Information ACCTG‑610.01, Intermediate Accounting I (Bootcamp) – Summer Term 2026 – 3 Credit Units. Course is held in person on Saturdays (6/27, 7/11, 7/18) from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and online on Mondays and Wednesdays (6/22–7/16) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moraga Campus. The first in a two‑course series in intermediate financial accounting, designed to deepen students’ understanding of financial reporting practices and principles. Topics include an in‑depth treatment of the elements of the income statement and the asset section of the balance sheet, with emphasis on current reporting practices and reporting requirements promulgated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Responsibilities Teach and assess undergraduate students in the ACCTG‑610.01 course. Deliver in‑person sessions on Saturdays and engage online students on weekly schedules. Prepare and maintain course materials, assignments, and assessments in compliance with university policies. Collaborate with faculty and administration, ensuring all instruction is performed within the state of California. Qualifications Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant accounting discipline (preferred). Successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Experience and familiarity with online or hybrid instruction. Ability to perform all coursework within the state of California. Salary Salary ranges from $7,447 to $10,308, dependent on qualifications.
