Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP unit, supporting patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Prepare and set up procedure rooms with appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and care activities accurately in the Meditech and Mac Lab systems.
• Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid RN license with at least 2 years of cath lab or EP experience.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Philips and GE equipment and cardiovascular documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Previous travel or hospital-based experience preferred.
